Companies measure, monitor, manage and evaluate performance every day. They set key performance indicators and targets for objectives, budget and forecast to allocate resources and plan for the future. But the business landscape is changing. Environmental and social risks account for four of the top five risks in terms of impact, and up to 80% of a company’s value is intangible (i.e., in research, innovation, know-how, relationships, entrepreneurial and managerial skills, etc.). This is a marked change from even 10 years ago. For companies to keep up, performance management needs to change.
You’re invited to take part in defining and driving the transition by partnering with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, and AICPA and CIMA as we work to push integrated performance management into mainstream business practices.
